Wilson, NC artist Juan Carlos Duron-Martinez joins Allie in this week's episode to discuss finding your style and voice as an artist. They also discuss what his creative journey has been like and how his art has evolved as he's experimented and learned new things about art and himself.⁣ Meet My Guest!Carlos is a Self-Taught Artist living in Wilson, NC. He immigrated from his place of birth in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, to The United States in 2002 at eight years old. He has spent the better half of his life living in Wilson, where he grew up and has lived for the last couple of years and counting. ⁣⁣He established an interest in art from a young age as he experimented with different mediums and eventually found his true calling in Watercolor. In his early works, his interests lay primarily in portraiture. He turned to landscape and architectural paintings to develop his skill while finding interest in new subjects. ⁣⁣
