In this episode, the Retro Movie Geek crew are joined by author Preston Fassel (find him on Twitter here), and we're geeking out over The Hitcher (1986), and also the look of the movie theories about the Ryder character the cast Rutger Hauer and much, much more! Synopsis: Out on the desert highway, the rule of thumb has a different meaning… and young Jim Halsey discovers just that when he slows down in the middle of the Texan wilderness, to offer a ride to a gaunt figure by the road side. How was Jim to know that this small kindness would change his life irreparably? Because when Jim Halsey let the hitcher into his car, death, destruction, and bloody mayhem came along for the ride. Jim’s mother warned him about giving rides to strangers… Tonight, Jim is going to learn that mum can sometimes be right. Shame he didn’t step on the gas… ……………………………………………………………………………… LISTENER FEEDBACK: Leave us your voicemail feedback at (484) 577-3876. Check out Darrell's other cool podcasts here.
