Grammy winner Rick Holmstrom was a college basketball player who suddenly got “the bug” to play guitar during his senior year of college. Working his job as a reporter by day, and scouring the west coast blues clubs at night… he got his first break and began what’s turned into a lifetime of touring.

Along the way, Rick’s had to overcome adversity with the loss of not one, but two of his immediate family members. But this Alaskan native’s story has a happy ending - he gets the girl (his wife, who he’s been with for 34 years)... an amazing gig working with the legendary Mavis Staples (who he won a Grammy with)… and a great family life, filled with fun, travel, and healthy family activities…
