Rewind to 2002 and take New York for a spin as we look back at the superhero film based on one of Marvel Comics biggest characters. Directed by Sam Raimi from a screenplay by David Koepp, Spider-Man is the first instalment in the “Spider-Man” trilogy. With Spider-Man: No Way Home finally here, which includes a certain actor (or actors) reprising their roles (or alternative versions – who knows) from this movie – it is the perfect time to sit down and talk about it. After being bitten by a genetically altered spider, student Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) gains superhuman strength and the spider-life ability to cling to any surface. He vows to use his abilities to fight crime as Spider-Man, coming to understand the words of his beloved Uncle Ben: “With great power comes great responsibility”.
