He’s the friendliest ghost you know, the Harvey Comics character who appeared in multiple cartoon series and animated films dating back all the way to 1945 – Casper! Directed by Brad Silberling, Casper is the live-action film adaption of the Casper the Friendly Ghost franchise. Just in time for Halloween, rewind with us to 1995 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the supernatural fantasy comedy drama which debuted the first ever fully CGI lead character in a feature film. Casper (voice by Malachi Pearson) is a kind young ghost who peacefully haunts Whipstaff Manor. When specialist Dr. James Harvey (Bill Pullman) is recruited by Carrigan (Cathy Moriaty) to communicate with Casper and his fellow spirits, he brings along his teenage daughter, Kat (Christina Ricci). Casper quickly falls in love with Kat, but their budding relationship is complicated not only by his transparent state, but also by his troublemaking apparition uncles and their mischievous antics.
