Combining the martial arts of the East and the superheroes of the West, this theatrical outing took a hit children’s television show, increased the budget, upped the special effects, and slapped it onto the big screen. Celebrating its 25th anniversary and based on the superhero franchise of the same name – Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie was directed by Bryan Spicer. Continuing the established story and characters following the TV series’ second season and using concepts from the Japanese “Super Sentai” series, the Power Rangers prepare to face their most formidable foe yet – the evil morphological being Ivan Ooze (Paul Freeman). Stripped of their morphing powers and their Zords, Aisha (Karan Ashley), Adam (Johnny Yong Bosch), Rocky (Steve Cardenas), Billy (David Yost), Kimberly (Amy Jo Johnson), and Tommy (Jason David Frank), travel to the distant planet Phaedos to obtain the Great Power and save Zordon. On Earth, Ivan Ooze hypnotises the parents of Angel Grove, building a workforce to dig up his Ecto-Morphicon Titans. When Fred Kelman (Jamie Croft) discovers his father missing, he uncovers Ivan’s plans. But can the Rangers restore their powers and return to Earth in time?
