1985 was the present. 1955 was the past. 2015 was the future. 1885 was the distant past. Now in 2020 we are going back to Back to the Future with the Back to the Future Trilogy. Episode 50 of Rewind & Review will look at the trilogy of films which began 35 years ago and concluded 30 years ago, with its third and final instalment coming out in May of 1990. Back to the Future is regarded as one of the greatest trilogies of all time and such an important set of movies for so many people growing up. Written and directed by Robert Zemeckis, produced by Bob Gale and Neil Canton for Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, the Back to the Future Trilogy follows the adventures of a high school student, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), and an eccentric scientist, Dr. Emmett L. Brown (Christopher Lloyd), as they use a DeLorean time machine to time travel to different periods in the history of Hill Valley, California.
