Rob is currently on vacation solving a murder – or was that Eddie Murphy?
Rewind to 1984 with guest co-host Luke from That Film Stew Podcast for the 35th anniversary of Beverly Hills Cop. It was the highest domestic box office earner of the year and potentially kicked off the “wise-cracking cop” genre.
Directed by Martin Brest, Beverly Hills Cop is an action comedy film which follows Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy), a street-smart Detroit cop who visits Beverly Hills, California to solve the murder of his best friend.
Axel Foley checks in with old friend Jenny Summers (Lisa Eilbacher) and starts to believe her boss, art dealer Victor Maitland (Steven Berkoff), might somehow be involved in the murder. However, Lt. Bogomil (Ronny Cox) of the Beverly Hills Police Department does not trust Foley and hinders his search for evidence.
