A movie so small and yet so big, that celebrates its 20th anniversary – we’re talking about Small Soldiers! Yes, we’re doing 1998 again. Directed by Joe Dante, Small Soldiers is an action horror movie which may lost it way settling on a target audience. When teenager and son of local toy store owner Alan Abernathy (Gregory Smith) buys a set of Commando Elite action figures, he's unaware that they have been programmed with military technology and discovers that the toys are sentient after leader of the Gorgonites Archer (Frank Langella) begins communicating and learning. The toys, including leader Commando Elite leader Chip Hazard (Tommy Lee Jones), spring to life and start taking their directives seriously; the commandos on a relentless mission to end the Gorgonites, and the Gorgonites hiding from danger and seeking their fictional home world of Gorgon.
