We’re only rewinding a mere ten years in this episode – but we are doing so to honour an Australian actor, director, and legend, known for his impressive catalogue amongst several Australian and Hollywood based films. With a decade passing since Heath Ledger’s death, we wanted to do an episode where we could honour and celebrate one of his, if not his best, and final roles – the Joker in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight is the second part of his The Dark Knight Trilogy and a sequel to 2005’s Batman Begins. Bruce Wayne / Batman (Christian Bale), Police Lieutenant James Gordon (Gary Oldman), and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), form an alliance to dismantle organized crime in Gotham City, but are menaced by a criminal mastermind known as the Joker who seeks to undermine Batman’s influence and create chaos.
