IN THIS EPISODE: You’ve crawled into bed ready for a good night’s sleep. You begin to nod off, but haven’t completely fallen asleep yet. That’s when you sense something in the room near your bed. Despite your fright, you can’t cry out, run, or scream. The thing then climbs on top of you and suddenly you realize it’s grotesque, but also alluring – female, seductive, and while you can’t move, your body still responds to her intimate advances. You’ve just become the next victim of the succubus.*** The Devil made me do it" is the oldest excuse in the world; and for nearly every crime it is just that, an excuse. But I said “nearly” every crime. Once in a while there are crimes where the perpetrator is the real deal. We’ll look at real crimes committed by real demons. (The Devil Made Me Do It) *** An exorcism consultant tells us about one of the creepiest cases he was ever called in on. A case very different than other exorcisms he had been a part of or witness to. (The Creepiest Exorcism Case Ever) *** And while on the subject of exorcisms, we’ll exorcise one more demon – one that is reeking havoc in, of all places, a printing office. (The Demon of the Printing Office) *** Did you know that you are honoring one of hell’s seven princes every time you use the toilet? I’ll tell you about Belphegor – who prefers offerings of human feces! PLUS… is a Succubus just sleep paralysis?YOUTUBE CHAPTERS & TIME STAMPS…00:00:00.000 = Title Story Preview and Show Open00:04:51.805 = Price of Fear, “Family Album” (Air Date Unknown)00:33:11.648 = Weird Darkness, “Scary Stories of Seductive Succubi, Part 1”00:38:36.650 = Quiet Please, “Kill Me Again” (November 17, 1947)01:03:58.909 = Weird Darkness, “Scary Stories of Seductive Succubi, Part 2”01:12:22.927 = The Sealed Book, “Broadway, Here I Come” (June 17, 1945)01:43:06.480 = Weird Darkness, “Scary Stories of Seductive Succubi, Part 3”01:59:49.206 = The Shadow, “Murder By The Dead” (October 17, 1937)02:29:58.338 = Weird Darkness, “The Devil Made Me Do It, Part 1”02:36:26.860 = Sounds of Darkness, “Traitor Beware” (July 07, 1967)03:04:57.121 = Weird Darkness, “The Devil Made Me Do It, Part 2”03:14:39.251 = Strange “Capt Robinson” (1955)03:30:39.533 = Weird Darkness, “The Creepiest Exorcism Case Ever”03:42:37.247 = Suspense, “Burning Court” (June 17, 1942)04:13:17.022 = Weird Darkness, “The Demon of the Printing Office”04:22:42.538 = Tales of Tomorrow, “Watchbird” (January 01, 1953)04:52:21.718 = Weird Darkness, “The Demon of Feces” and “Is A Succubus Just Sleep Paralysis?”05:13:45.964 = Tales From The Crypt, “A Little Stranger” (Air Date Unknown)05:51:03.563 = Show CloseSOURCES AND REFERENCES FROM THE EPISODE…BOOK: “Sleep Paralysis: Historical, Psychological and Medical Perspectives" by Brian Sharpless: https://amzn.to/2L5QjkQ“Scary Stories of Seductive Succubi” by Cheryl Adams Richkoff for Graveyard Shift: https://tinyurl.com/yabus4f2, and Brent Swancer for Mysterious Universe: https://tinyurl.com/y9aapvsj“The Devil Made Me Do It” by Jacob Shelton for Graveyard Shift: https://tinyurl.com/y2qedyjq‘The Creepiest Exorcism Case Ever” by Jacob Shelton for Graveyard Shift: https://tinyurl.com/y7krkxvf“The Demon of the Printing Office” from Strange Company: https://tinyurl.com/ycx22gyn“The Demon of Feces” by Beth Elias for Graveyard Shift: https://tinyurl.com/y9gldcsl (Photo of Belphegor: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/5n79y45t)“Is a Succubus Just Sleep Paralysis?” by Tereza Pultarova for Live Science: https://tinyurl.com/yc5crjeb, and Stephen Wagner for Live About: https://tinyurl.com/ycvwwwh8Weird Darkness theme by Alibi Music Library. = = = = =(Over time links seen above may become invalid, disappear, or have different content.
