Rob Refsnyder, sleep-deprived and all, hit the walk-off single in the ninth inning to cap off the Boston Red Sox's comeback victory over the Texas Rangers on Thursday night at Fenway Park.
NESN's Lauren Willand recaps the 9-8 win which saw the Red Sox entering the ninth inning down by three runs. Lauren looks at how the offense was resilient on a night they didn't get the best pitching performance from Rich Hill, who allowed four earned runs in his outing.
Lauren looks at how good Alex Verdugo has been at the plate for Boston, as well.
But it's not all good news. Lauren provides some discouraging injury updates on Tanner Houck, Nate Eovaldi and Eric Hosmer, but questions whether this will open the door even wider for Triston Casas to earn a call-up to the Red Sox.
As always, Lauren ends the show with the mental health minute.
