On Monday night, the Red Sox snapped their 7-game winning streak after a 7-2 loss to their division rival, the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 of a 3-game series. Since the game was in Toronto, Jarren Duran and Tanner Houck couldn't travel due to their vaccination status so Red Sox prospect Connor Seabold had to be called up, which didn't go how the Red Sox planned. Seabold ended up allowing three home runs off the stacked Blue Jays lineup which led to seven total runs over 4.2 innings.
Massachusetts Pirates Team Insider Jake Ignaszewski broke down everything that happened in Monday's loss and looked into some positives that came out of Seabold's tough outing. Then he went into how the Red Sox bats performed and why the offense couldn't produce run support for Seabold. Luckily the Sox still have two more games in this series to make up for this loss, so Iggy went into the pitching matchup for tomorrow's game.
Lastly, Iggy gave injury updates on Chris Sale, Josh Taylor, Garrett Whitlock, etc as well as read your thoughts on the game from Twitter.
