On this episode of "Make It Cute" we talk all things relaxation. Change can be so demanding and life moves so quickly that sometimes we need to slow down and take it easy. Miles talks about all the things he does to clear his mind, habits that help him relax, and tips for if you're finding it difficult to shut your mind down and let yourself be. On this episode we make a warm and cozy Mulled Wine for One and a super delicious and easy upgraded Ramen.
Mulled Wine for One:
10 oz red wine of choice
1 star anise
1 cinnamon stick
1/8 tsp of nutmeg
Honey to taste
1/2 orange sliced
Combine ingredients in a small saucepan over medium low heat. Bring to a simmer, then reduce and let sit for 5-10 minutes. Strain out spices and orange slices and enjoy in a heatproof mug.
Upgraded Ramen (serves 2):
2 packs of chicken flavored ramen
1 finger of ginger
2 cloves of garlic
1 scallion
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp butter
1 egg yolk
Chili oil (homemade or store bought)
Black pepper
Start cooking your ramen in cold water bring up to a boil. While ramen is cooking, slice scallion, ginger, and garlic. Add in aromatics that you previously sliced as well as soy sauce to your boiling noodles. Cook 3-4 minutes. Remove ginger and garlic slices. Add butter and black pepper and mix. Cook until noodles are desired consistency. Add in seasoning packets 1 at a time mixing in between adding. Then put in a bowl, top with additional scallions. Add an egg yolk and chili oil, mix immediately so the egg yolk combines and cooks in the broth.
