The NHL trade deadline has now come and gone. We now know what all 32 teams look like as we approach the most exciting time of the year, the playoffs.  On today’s episode of The Suitcase and The Scribe, Mike McKenna and Scott Burnside go around the league discussing the deals that went down on deadline day and in the week building up.

A few big names got moved, including Claude Giroux, Marc-Andre Fleury and Mark Giordano. They discussed which of those players will have the most significant impact on their new team and how much they forced their old General Managers hands.

A couple of those moves really impacted the Eastern Conference. On top of Giroux and Giordano, the New York Rangers made a splash acquiring Andrew Copp, making them a top threat in the Metro division. The addition of Rakell to the Pittsburgh Penguins will create an exciting postseason too.

They also dove into the Western Conference talking about the St Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche, and Vegas Golden Knights.

Finally, they end the show asking which players we could see moved around draft time and before free agency.

Listen to all of that and more on this weeks episode of The Suitcase and The Scribe.
