Ray Lawler died last week at the age of 103. He's arguably Australia's most famous playwright as well as an actor, theatre director and producer.  

His iconic play 'Summer of the Seventeenth Doll' changed the course of Australian theatre when it was first performed in Melbourne in 1955.
