Just as fans feared (or cheered) Shat The Movies slipping into a pattern of covering '90s blockbuster films, listener Ben in Japan commissioned "Ravenous" to close out the 2021 Shat calendar.

This cannibal Western horror comedy set during the Mexican-American War is about as quirky as cinema gets: a soundtrack by Damon Albarn of Blur, a cartoonish mass murderer, gross-out humor mixed with slapstick giggles. But a killer cast including Guy Pearce, Robert Carlyle, David Arquette, Jeffrey Jones, Jeremy Davies, and Neal McDonough keeps "Ravenous" oddly accessible and strangely fun.

In this episode, the Shat Crew discusses the sounds of bagels and blowjobs, gross goatees, flashbacks that lack mystery, the danger of knives, the incredibly opportunity of being a wendigo in the Old West, and whether "Ravenous" is actually an allegory for repressed homosexuality.
