This week on Scream on the Screens the team indulges on the films of Quentin Tarantino, one of their favorite directors and writers. Remember to follow us on Twitter @screamatscreens.

Before the show the SATS team warmed themselves up with a fun clip of one of his greatest movies, Kill Bill.

The panel had picked three of their favorite Tarantino Films for Tyler to see:

– Pulp Fiction

– From Dusk till Dawn

– The Hateful Eight

The Twitter vote was unanimous for Pulp fiction and Tyler was happy to comply and glad that he did.

Entertainment news covered the surprising cast for the Tarzan Movie due July 1^st, with Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Alexander Skarsgard (Eric on True blood) Samuel L. Jackson and Christopher Waltz, Making us want to actually see it.

Tyler then surprises the panel and makes them proud by proving his forced movie education is actually working, when he points out an actor pairing no one else could think of.

Tiffany and Ricardo express their opinions yet again on Disney’s classics turned live action with the Beauty and the Beast teaser trailer.

Then the panel moves on to discussing next weeks SATS movie X-Men Apocalypse, and the sad possibility that it just may suck, according to early reviews.

Following that, the crew dives right into their favorite quirky and unique director, Quentin Tarantino. A man that discovered his love for movies at a young age and chose to saturate and surround himself with movies and script writing. He applies the genres he loved growing up, such as Kung Fu and Spaghetti Westerns, in a relatable and modern way that manages to transform campiness into magic.

His love for over the top violence becomes more of an artistic style and plot point than just a mere special effect. His support for smaller film within his favored genres are the reason movies like Hostel, Iron Fist and Hero had such a wide spread viewing in the US.

Rumors for a Kill Bill 3 are discussed and the panel hopes that he wont count that towards his 10 film limit.

The team then goes over the best known Tarantino movies and ones he participated in writing.

Then they break down what is it that makes his movies stand out from the rest:

– The look and special shots, such as the trunk and corpse shot where characters are looking down at the camera as if from the POV of a corpse or person in a trunk.

– Recurring themes, such as Tarantino’s obvious foot fetish

– Recurring props, such as black and white suits and original product placements like Big Kahuna Burgers

– The interconnection of characters across his movies, like the Vega’s Brothers and Donowitz’s

– And best of all the Easter eggs that connect movies like Mia’s explanation of characters in a role she was to play that sound suspiciously like kill bill.

For Tyler’s Take, he gave it 10 Tasties, with everyone else providing close to that.

This week also had two other movies for Tyler to Watch as requested via Twiter

Training day: that some how received 10.5 Tasties (proving he doesn’t truly understand rating systems)

The last Boy scout: receiving only 8 tasties.

For next week, our focus will be on X-Men apocalypse and the Tyler’s Take poll is centered on films of the X-Men Universe. With the choices being the original X-men, X-Men First Class (McAvoy not Stewart) and The Wolverine (the one in Japan).

Yet again the team finds they could not end a show without a visit to the 7 kingdoms, and the sad reason Hodor only says Hodor or better yet hold the door. The discussion centered around the confusing actions of many characters such as the First Children and Sansa, as well as another interesting fan theory on Meera and John.
