Get to that next plateau, enjoy the view and smell the flowers, then look for another mountain to climb. I'm of the mindset that life keeps on going upwards until it is over.Self construction, you're headed for self construction. What you are building is not finished until your heart stops beating. The trails that you blaze creates paths that are a little easier to navigate. Future generations could have you to thank for their special opportunities in life. Who wouldn't want to be part of that? This is Qool DJ Marv and you are listening to I Can Imagine here on WURD900 PhiladelphiaHour TwoNightshift - The CommodoresTribute (Right On) - The PasadenasSilver Shadow - Atlantic StarrRespect Yourself - The Staple SingersBrother's Gonna Work It Out - Willie HutchBlack Man - Stevie WonderThis Is Us - Elements Of Life featuring Ursula RuckerThe Ghetto (Dimitri from Paris Mix) - Donny HathawayBlack Boy (Souldynamic Remix) - Peven EverettYou Can Get Over (Chewy Edit) - Stephanie Mills51st street between Pine and Larchwood, more specifically Osage and Larchwood. That's where I grew up. Was in North Philly when I was born. I went to Huey on 52nd and Pine. Do you know I was in the same class with Colman Domingo? Who is he? If you saw the Butler, you saw him as the head of the White House butler staff...he was amazing in Spike Lee's Red Hook Summer too. From Huey, I went to Hamilton junior high around 56th and Spruce. At Hamilton, a guidance counselor guided me to apply for a scholarship to a private school. I did and I was accepted giving me an amazing chance to live a life beyond my reality. I kept it going and went to college at Emory University in Atlanta and then went to earn a Master's at Ivy League Columbia University which gave me options to try to make my own life out of my own intelligence and talents. I'm just one example of what's possible. Why not you, son? Why not your son?Music this hour from......
