In this role she oversees the coordinated efforts of editorial, advertising, events and audience development to promote strategic growth in all areas and adherence to the mission of The Business Journals.Rhonda has over 25 years of media and marketing experience, having started her career as a reporter with the Florida Times-Union and then in various sales and marketing management roles for some of the largest media companies in the U.S. where she worked with small businesses and Fortune 100 companies. Rhonda was recognized as a “World Class Leader” by the National Ad Council and “A Leader to Watch” by the National Association of Black Journalists. Since joining American City Business Journals in 2015, she has been recognized with four Eagle Awards for outstanding performance.A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Rhonda is a proud graduate of the University of Florida, where she holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Journalism and Advertising. A passionate proponent of child welfare, Rhonda served several years on the grant review board of the Season for Sharing Foundation and is a charter board member of BESTWA, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting with the needs of children in Liberia. She currently sits on the Center Club’s Board of Governors and is a board member of Executive Alliance of Greater Baltimore, Ronald McDonald House Charities -MD, Live Baltimore, GBC Women’s Advisory and a number of other committees, as well as the 2021 class of Leadership Baltimore County.
