The government is toughening up its new Three Strikes law in order to capture more of what it calls the worst of the worst, serious violent and sexual offenders. Cabinet has agreed to lower the sentencing threshold for people to be given their first strike warning from 24 months to 12. Prime Minister Christopher Luxon spoke with Ingrid Hipkiss.
