On Monday's episode, Brent Maguire looks back at the memorable 2009 season. 2009 has the honorable distinction of being the last year the Angels won a playoff game (oof) AND the year they selected Mike Trout in the draft (yay). Beyond those two tidbits, the Angels also won 97 games in 2009, finally beat Boston in the ALDS, had a full lineup of .300 hitters in an August game, and tragically lost 22-year-old Nick Adenhart early on in the season. Beyond the 2002 title season, it's hard to find a year with more action and storylines than the 2009 season.
