The Utah Jazz loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night despite much improved half court defense because they allowed way to high a rate of transition and successful transition. With that said it was a strong effort for a team without Mike Conley and a team playing its 3rd game in 4 nights again.

Lauri Markkanen continues to do big things early in games averaging 8 points per first quarter over the past 6 games. Jordan Clarkson continues to show his incredible basketball IQ and all of his abilities.

The Jazz are playing without Mike Conley and it is a big burden on Collin Sexton and Talen Horton Tucker to pick up those minutes for the Jazz. They are both developing and it is forcing a different type of coaching for Will Hardy.

Time to look at league trends and the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Pelicans are figuring this out.
