The Celtics went behind by 21 points to the 0-4 Pistons in the first half as their defense stood listless and offense stagnated outside of Marcus Smart. A burst from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown led the Celtics back and even established a multiple possession lead into the fourth quarter, before Boston's offense capsized in the final four minutes into an 0-for-9 swoon.
