Submit ReviewChances are, if you put on, promote or produce something like 10,000 live concerts, you’re going to learn a few things. Just ask Peter Shapiro. The owner and operator of the Brooklyn Bowl venues, the legendary Capitol Theatre, and before that, the Wetlands Preserve, Shapiro is all of that … and also a Deadhead, a fact that is relevant because were it not for the Grateful Dead, he probably would never have gotten his start in the venue business at all. His book, “The Music Never Stops,” came out earlier this year, a chronicle of 50 pivotal shows that helped define Shapiro’s life, his ethos — and his businesses. We have a lot to discuss.
