Hey, it's Will and Tim! They are from Mattoon, Illinois, but only originally. Holy cow there were a LOT of noteworthy releases this past weekend: Six, in fact. There are only two, actually, that both Grierson and Leitch have seen, so they discuss "Pete's Dragon" and "Sausage Party." Grierson goes solo on Meryl Streep's "Florence Foster Jenkins," Jeff Bridges' "Hell or High Water" and Mel Gibson's "Blood Father," and Leitch does the same on baseball movie "Spaceman" but insists on pronouncing it like they do on "30 Rock." Then, in the Reboot section, they discuss a little-known indie from an unheralded upstart filmmaker when they dig into Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window." That's a lot of movies to cram into one podcast, and they fly through them. We hope there's still enough meat on the bones to make it worth your while. Movie Timestamps: 4:13 "Pete's Dragon" 17:23 "Sausage Party" 27:55 "Florence Foster Jenkins" 34:40 "Hell or High Water" 39:44 "Blood Father" 48:06 "Spaceman" 55:20 "Rear Window" Let us know what you think @griersonleitch on Twitter, or
griersonleitch@newrepublic.com. As always, give us a review on iTunes with the name of a movie you'd like us to review, and we'll discuss it on a later podcast. Also, Grierson once killed a drifter. This probably isn't the best place to talk about this, but it feels good now that we've said it out loud.
