Peppermint steps Behind The Rope. Miss Peppermint. A fixture on the New York City Drag / Queer Nightlife Scene, Peppermint’s star continued to rise when she was cast on Season Nine of RuPaul’s Drag Race where she finished as runner-up in one of the most talked about seasons in Drag Race HERstory. Peppermint takes us behind the scenes of Drag Race - what the casting and filming process was like, just how “hard” it was to make a great TV show, the other queens and what RuPaul is really like. Peppermint takes us on her journey of how her professional life sky rocketed after Drag Race. Part of that included a starring role on Broadway as Pythio in the epic Head Over Heels, a brilliant musical set to Go Go’s Music. Speaking of music, Peppermint just released her new album “A Girl Like Me: Letters To My Lovers”, the first in a Trilogy of new music, which includes the hit song “Best Sex”. Peppermint discusses her music inspirations such as Prince and what it was like to work with musical legends such as Debbie Harry. Let us not forget Peppermint’s stellar acting resume as well which includes parts in hit TV shows such as Ryan Murphy’s Pose. Finally, Peppermint discusses what it is like to have been the first out trans contestant to be cast on RuPaul’s Drag Race, what it was like to have been the first out trans woman to originate a principal musical role on Broadway, the current state of the trans community and how she believes 2020 may forever go down as the “year of change”.  @peppermint247 @behindvelvetrope @davidyontef Bonus Episodes Available at - https://www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetrope Merch Available at - https://www.teepublic.com/stores/behind-the-velvet-rope?ref_id=13198 Learn more about your ad choices.
