Kent Vrana PhD, Pharmacology Department Chair & Professor at the Penn State Neuroscience Institute, has been researching molecular neuropharmacology for over 30 years. In his role as Director of Penn State’s Designated Medical Marijuana Center, he’s developed a keen interest in both the medical potential - and the possible harms - of whole plant cannabis & cannabinoid isolates. We discuss the current knowns & unknowns around how cannabinoids fight cancer, whether or not the science behind CBG will live up to marketing hype, and important pharmaceutical drug interactions to look out for when you’re considering CBD or cannabis for medical needs.
