The New England Patriots lost to the Houston Texans in what was a blowout, prior to garbage time. The defense played well enough to win, but the offense turned the ball over as a gift to the Texans at the start of the game, abandoned the run, and were just uninspired all around. This has been the story of the Patriots offense for all of 2019. The Patriots defense is playing its best football of the Bill Belichick era, and the offense is struggling to show any kind of consistency. That might work against some of the weaker teams in the NFL, but the offense has come up short against the three playoff caliber teams they've faced- the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and Houston Texans. Imagine you're offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. What's the fix? How can Tom Brady and the offense start moving the ball with more regularity and success? Is the answer Sony Michel? Or is it James White? And while Julian Edelman is putting together one of the best seasons of his career, what should the expectations be for the rotating cast of Phillip Dorsett, Mohamed Sanu, Jakobi Meyers, and N'Keal Harry, and can any of them emerge as a reliable #2 receiver?
