The New England Patriots dispatched the worst team in the NFL last week, and now they get to face another ghastly squad. The New York Jets are coming off back-to-back home losses to start the season and are relying on their third string quarterback to try and compete. It's not a good look. The Patriots are better than the Jets in every facet of the game. Stephon Gilmore can lock down Robby Anderson. Jamie Collins and Patrick Chung can combine to stop Le'Veon Bell. Jason McCourty or Jonathan Jones can cover Jamison Crowder. Who else is there on the Jets offense? (No one). And when New England is on offense, there is no Jets defender than can match-up with any of the Patriots receivers. No linebacker can cover James White or Rex Burkhead, and no cornerback can cover Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon, Antonio Brown, or Phillip Dorsett. The Jets best defensive back, Jamal Adams, was at his best covering Rob Gronkowski and now the Patriots don't have a tight end for Adams to cover (*taps forehead*). So long as the Patriots' patchwork offensive line can protect Brady in the pocket, then New England should win this one walking away. Learn more about your ad choices.
