Pat's father Rusty was the person that found him dead in a pool of blood. The horrible image haunts Rusty to this day, but as if that was not bad enough, Rusty soon found out that the investigator in his son's murder was under internal investigation for not working to solve cases he was in charge of. Things only got worse for Rusty, when a new investigator came to believe that Rusty was a suspect in his own son's murder- a murder which remains unsolved to this day.
