Rachel Bailey is a Parenting Specialist who is also a clinical psychologist and has worked as an ADHD coach for kids and teens and now works exclusively with parents. I love how Rachel is sharing how she created her business and grew it and also gives me some tips and encouragement about how I’m raising my kids as a work-from-home mom. We are talking about entrepreneurship and the effect it can have on your kids, the benefit of having something outside of only being a parent, the importance of seeing eye-to-eye with your spouse when it comes to parenting and how screen time can actually be beneficial! We also have a surprise guest about half way through who demonstrates what being a work-from-home mom truly looks like!

Are you ready to up your parenting long game?

What we’re talking about

  • How Rachel Grew Her Parenting Business
  • What Entrepreneurship Can Teach You & Your Children
  • Screen Time Can Actually Be A Good Thing

How Rachel Grew Her Parenting Business

Rachel discovered that parents had a real need for the tools she had and that she wanted to not only help children, but to help parents in their parenting skills. Utilizing her speaking skills, Rachel started to speak at local events and offer tips and tools via her newsletter. She shares the importance of starting your email list from the beginning and how to grow your like, know and trust factor while doing it.

What Entrepreneurship Can Teach You & Your Children

As a mom of two young kids who works from home, I worry about juggling it all and how that affects my kids. Rachel makes it mandatory for her clients to have something outside of being a parent. It doesn’t have to be a business, but something that allows you to not only focus on your child and parenting all the time. If it is a business, then entrepreneurship can teach your child from an early age about the importance of not only not giving up, but also how you not only have to create something, but you have to be able to market and sell it as well.

Screen Time Can Actually Be A Good Thing

We recently got Kindles for the kids and one of our concerns and one I hear very often is about the negative effects screen time can have on your children. Rachel says it can actually be a good thing when used properly! You can teach your kids time management with screens and also utilize them as a time for rest to give yourself the break you truly need and deserve.

What kind of parenting questions do you have?
