We play another game of Snubbable or Unsnubbable over Jennifer Lopez and her role in Hustlers. But first, there are 3 Oscar trailers to review on Dark Waters, Ford v Ferrari, & Knives Out, a strange story about Brad Pitt, & many more Best International Film selections. OSCAR TRAILER REVIEW: Dark Waters Trailer 1 - 1:35 Ford vs Ferrari Trailer 2- 5:25 Knives Out Trailer 3 - 8:12 CONTENDER NEWS: Rome FF Highlights The Irishman - 11:05 HBO Buys Up Bad Education - 11:46 Latest Contender Release Date Movements - 16:50 Kent Jones Steps Down As NYFF Director - 19:28 Brad Pitt Abstains - 21:47 RECAPPING ALL THE INTERNATIONAL FILM SELECTIONS - 24:05 **(CORRECTING THE RECORD INTERLUDE - 24:58)** Wes Anderson Goes to Fox Searchlight - 33:34 SNUBBABLE OR UNSNUBBALBE: Introduction - 34:38 Unsnubbable Opener - 35:41 Snubbable Argument - 40:28 Unsnubbable Rebuttal and Closing - 45:49 YOUR JUDGMENT? - 50:42 Your Homework/PLEASE LEAVE US 5*’S - 51:17 What’s Next From MMO/Words of Wisdom - 52:18 Some previous Oscar contenders are falling by the wayside after several of the fall film festivals. But that just opens up another opportunity to end with a game of Snubbable or Unsnubbable, where we have fun arguing for & against Jennifer Lopez and her new status as the frontrunner for Best Supporting Actress. But we do need to build up to this closing game. So there were 3 Oscar trailers to analyze including a first look at Todd Haynes’ Dark Waters, a second look at Ford v Ferrari, and then a third preview for Knives Out. We breakdown some awards centric news stories from both the festivals & otherwise. The Irishman landed another centerpiece screening at the Rome Film Fest, Bad Education with Hugh Jackman might be going for Emmys instead of Oscars, the NY Film Festival reactions are due in shortly, and the Best International Film category may have 2, if not 3 frontrunners before they vote for their shortlist. We do enjoy our game of Snubbable or Unsnubbable with a focus on Jennifer Lopez and her role as Ramona in Hustlers. Here we break down all the reasons working both for and against her candidacy for an Oscar nomination to end the episode. Unfortunately, life finds a way to interrupt our best laid plans, and these 3 episodes will have to give you your MMO fix on the week. We do need to take the weekend off from podcasting, the first time this has happened since last October when we went to 4 sodes a week. Do please go back into our catalogue to catch up on what you’ve missed. We have several re-watch series on Tarantino, Pixar, the MCU, etc. Our OSP playlist has grown with Hustlers & Downton Abbey, and we’ll review Ad Astra next week. We’ll also continue Oscar Race Checkpoint & MMOW. If you’re enjoying our show, please take a few moments to leave us a 5 star rating on Apple Podcasts.
