The fifth round of emergency food hampers is set to be delivered later this month in Cornwall. It's a program that grew out of community partnerships, and has addressed growing food insecurity in the region. City councilor Carilyne Hébert tells us about it; Pamela Fuselli of Parachute, a charity dedicated to preventing injury, talks about the risks of drowning, particularly since few people are able to take swimming lessons during the pandemic; AJ Adams grew up up in Kincardine. He talks about growing up gay in a small town and the series of webinars Kincardine Pride is producing to mark Pride Month; Laura Cavanagh, a registered psychotherapist, discusses how people will respond to the gradual relaxing of the restrictions due to the pandemic. Apparently not all us will welcome the return to 'normal'; Erica Johnson of CBC's Go Public reports on a woman who discovered her bank had transferred funds from her account without her permission and without notifying her; A research team in London is trying to figure out a better way to do enumerate those experiencing homelessness.Cheryl Forchuk, a professor at Western and assistant scientific director at the Lawson Health Research Institute in London, tells us what they hope to do; Survivorman Les Stroud tells us about his new book written for kids, "Wild Outside: Around the World With Survivorman."
