How are you feeling about children returning to the classroom today? The transition is alleviating mental health concerns surrounding online school. "Inequality Kills" is a new report from Oxfam Canada. We heard about the dangers of income inequality as it grows across the world. Today is the first day of in-person learning since the holidays. But the big question seems to be: what’s changed? And how are schools any safer than they were a few weeks ago? Christmas is over and Boxing Day sales are behind us... But what if you aren't happy with all of the stuff you've accumulated? If you send it back for a return... it could be repackaged and resold ... or perhaps... end up in a landfill. Wild pigs are on the agenda in some parts of the province. Kelly Maloney, an official with The City of Kawartha Lakes, told us what an established population of feral pigs would mean for the community. As Omicron spreads, there's been plenty of debate about whether to bring schools back in-person or keep classes online. Parents, teachers, school boards, politicians, and public health officials have all weighed in ... But what do students have to say about the situation? We heard from a Kingston area class From carbon dioxide to methane, there is pollution in our air.... but what about noise? Rachel Buxton an assistant Professor at Carleton University joined us to discuss concerns surrounding noise pollution and how natural sounds can benefit our health.
