Kingston residents are hot and bothered by the sudden closure of the Splash Pads at McBurney Park. After opening for only a day, broken waterworks have done anything BUT cool down frustrations. According to the municipality, the water in Meaford is now safe to consume again, but the state of emergency is still in place. A Queen's University PhD Student has been recognized for her environmental research into bird songs. She just won the 2023 Storytellers Challenge.....and hopes to encourage people to listen more to the beautiful sounds of nature.
