If you can't find any turkey in your local store, don't be surprised : an epidemic of avian flu is causing a shortage of the holiday staple, and forcing some charities to quickly find alternatives. A new exhibit at a Kingston synagogue tells the story of Jewish families who settled in the area after surviving the Holocaust. We spoke with Rabbi Erin Polansky on why this exhibit comes at a particularly important time.
