Deborah Vanberkel of Napanee is both a dairy farmer and a psychotherapist treating her fellow farmers. She tells us about what prompted her to undertake her wellness practice. And in another conversation, dairy farmer Peggy Brekveld, who is also the president of of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, tells us about their new Agriculture Wellness Ontario program which includes counselling, suicide prevention and mental health literacy help; Muckpaloo Ipeelie tells about the changing of the seasons ceremony happening today at the Awen Gathering Circle in Collingwood; Safe consumption sites for drugs tend to polarize communities wherever they're proposed. Plans are now underway to open a site in Barrie. Is there something to be learned from Peterborough's experience which opened its own safe consumption site three months ago? We hear first from Donna Rogers, the Executive Director of the Four Counties Addiction Services Team, the host organization for Peterborough's facility. And then we find out more about the preparations in Barrie from Meredith Fryia. She's the Addictions Program Manager with the Canadian Mental Health Association's Simcoe County Branch. The agency has just received an exemption from Health Canada that allows for the use of illegal drugs at their proposed facility.
