Hello Juicy Lemoners! We're taking a bit of a break this week so we're revisiting some of our favourite moments in the past year! Can you believe it's been almost a year since LEMON was launched?! WeChat Aunty WeChat is the most popular messenger app amongst Asian parents and misinformation on the social network spread like wild-fire. In this segment, we breakdown the common coronavirus cures and prevention, as told by a WeChat aunty.  Dami Im X Factor winner and Eurovision Qween Dami Im has an honest chat to us about the backlash she got after winning the X Factor - many people believe she shouldn't have won because she was Asian.  Jenny Zhou TV actress Jenny Zhou recounts the time when she auditioned for a role written for an Asian character but the director and writers had a last minute change in direction - any guesses what?  The Ni Hao Me Debate MasterChef contestant Sarah Tiong sparked a debate about why it was offensive to greet an Asian person with 'Ni Hao Ma' after she hung up on a radio host. In this episode, we discuss why greeting an Asian person with 'Ni Hao Ma' is a form of microaggression and how the phrase has a long history of being traumatic to Asian-Australians because of the way it is used to mock us.  Join in on the discussion on our socials!
