Happy Friday, everybody! As we do every Friday, we've got a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to offer you all of the hottest Oilers takes and news you could ever hope to have as we head into the weekend. This week, we looked at the Oilers’ unexpected week off, rumours leading into the trade deadline, and spoke to Jason Strudwick to preview the Oilers' matchup against the Leafs, and a whole lot more.

Kicking off today’s episode, we jumped in with a look at the big story of the week which was obviously the Oilers having their three games against Montreal postponed as a result of COVID. Seeing as the boys before this unexpected break kicked in, we all wondered whether or not this break is a good thing or a bad thing. From there, we welcomed Jason Strudwick to the podcast to give his take about the Oilers' unexpected break and whether or not he thinks it was a good thing for the team to get some rest seeing as they were playing very well ahead of the games that will now need to be moved around and rescheduled. He also offered his thoughts on Tim Peel being let go by the NHL this past week after getting caught talking about makeup calls on a hot mic. Seeing as Struds played in the NHL for a long time, it was interesting to get his thoughts on something that I suspect most of us believe is going on anyway. Next up, we brought Jay Downton onto the podcast to talk about yesterday's announcement that The Nation Network has joined forces with Altitude Investments on a new partnership and what that means for Nation Citizens around the world. Lastly, we wrapped up this week's podcast with a look at the upcoming series against the Leafs and what the Oilers need to do to make sure they don't repeat the horrors of the last meeting between these two clubs.
