As asylum seekers continue to arrive in New York City in record numbers, Mayor Eric Adams appears to be losing his patience. But buying City Hall some time, Congress is now expected to give the city a substantial portion of $800 million in federal aid for the migrant crisis. NY1’s Zack Fink, Emily Ngo and Kelly Mena weigh in on this complicated issue and what help lies ahead for the city.

Additionally, pay for state lawmakers will reach $142,000 next year — making New York the highest paid state legislature in the country. The team, which met before the pay raise was officially approved, looks at the proposal and also discusses the controversy surrounding the residency of Assemblyman-elect Lester Chang.

We want to hear from you, especially what you think of the migrant crisis.
