Adam Mares and George Karl are joined by former Denver Nuggets legend, LaPhonso Ellis for a walk down memory lane. Phonz was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 1992 and played for rookie head coach and former Nuggets legend himself, Dan Issel. The '92 Nuggets featured 2nd year standouts, Dikembe Mutombo and Robert Pack as well as Chris Jackson (later Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf). Over the next two seasons, the team would add Bryant Stith, Reggie Williams, Brian Williams, and Rodney Rodgers creating one of the most promising young cores in the NBA. The 1994 playoff win over George Karl's Seattle SuperSonics remains one of the greatest upsets in American sports history. Phonz and coach Karl share their perspectives on that series and look back at what made that team and that era of Denver Nuggets basketball unique. Learn more about your ad choices.
