Submit Review1972 was the first year in his career that Paul McCartney didn’t put out an album. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t busy: Wings became a live band with tours in the U.K. and Europe; they released a scattering of stand-alone singles; and they worked towards the release of Red Rose Speedway, the second Wings album, which came out in 1973.
There’s so much more to explore: the single album that blossoms as a double album, the contractual obligation tv special, the live film they tried to suppress (due to cartoon mice).
