Northland businesses say there's no easy way for them to claim compensation after a massive power outage caused by maintenance workers removing the nuts from a power pylon caused it to topple over. The losses in the region amount to tens-of-millions of dollars. The Consumer Guarantees Act entitles people to compensation but it does not apply to businesses. Both Transpower and their maintenance contractor, Omexom, declined to come on the show. The local business association NorthChamber's president Tim Robinson spoke to Corin Dann.
