The man who oversaw a fundamental review of the health service in Northern Ireland has told the Nolan Show performance related pay should be considered for nurses and other health workers in Northern Ireland. This is a controversial statement - and you will hear union reaction later today. Professor Rafael Bengoa is a key figure in NI because it is his report which has cross party support for radical change. So this is a big statement from a big player. Bengoa's proposal would mean nurses performances would be measured against other nurses - and financial awards handed to those delivering best patient outcomes. We also got reaction the businessman Frank Shivers, commentator Phil Kelly and Patrick Mulholland from union NIPSA.
