Another week is winding down and that means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is here to get you set for the weekend. On today’s podcast, we looked at NHLers lending their voices for equality, whether or not the playoffs should be permanently expanded, the idea of an asterisk on this year's winner, and more.    To start off this week's podcast, we spent some time talking about NHL players that are using their voices to speak out against racism. Not only did we all believe it was incredibly important to show our support for these players that are speaking out, we wanted to highlight some of the stories that are being told as well. (Robin Brownlee wrote a powerful piece hereMatthew Henriques wrote about his experiences in sports here. Former Oiler, Mark Fraser, wrote about his experience at The Player Tribune. We also had an important conversation on yesterday's Real Life Podcast) Sticking with NHL news, the league announced further details about the 24-team playoff format that will hopefully get underway later on in the summer, including the re-seeding of teams after every playoff round. Is this something the league should carry forward? The league also announced that phase two of their return to play plan is set to get underway on Monday, which means that handfuls of Oilers will be able to return to the ice in limited and voluntary sessions. Lastly, we wrapped up this week's podcast with a look at the news that Chris Cuthbert will be joining the broadcast team at Sportsnet, which led us to talk about our favourite announcers and moments that hooked us as hockey fans.
