Can you believe we’re not even a month into the NHL’s work stoppage? From where I blog, it feels like years since the Oilers played their last game against the Jets and I'm starting to get the itch for hockey in the worst way. Thankfully, we got the boys back together for a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio to talk a little puck, break down the NHL's player poll, come up with a few hypothetical scenarios, and help us all kill an hour of our day.

To kick off this week's podcast, we started in with a look at the Edmonton Oilers jerseys from throughout franchise history and debated which were the best and worst we've ever seen. As expected, all four of us had different preferences. From there, we broke down the NHL Player Poll that got released this past week and offered opinions on whether or not we thought the players got it right. The most interesting conversation came about when we were trying to decide whether we'd prefer to have Connor McDavid or Sidney Crosby on our roster for a Game 7 situation and some of the answers may surprise you. Sticking with McDavid, Wayne Gretzky said in their recent sitdown with GQ that Connor WILL win a Stanley Cup because he's simply too good not to, so we tried to decide whether or not that adds unnecessary pressure onto the young captain's shoulders. Lastly, we got into our Hot and Cold Performers of the Week (quarantine edition) as all four of us had different takes on what's been awesome and not so awesome over the past seven days.
