A native New Yorker whose love of archery stems from a childhood fantasy fueled by films like The Adventures of Robin Hood, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and many more. But growing up in Brooklyn, through the 80’s and 90’s, archery wasn’t exactly a sport accessible to kids from his neighborhood. Cliff purchased his first compound bow not too long ago and has been in love with hunting ever since. During his research and learning more about the sport of hunting, he realized two things: despite a welcoming hunting community there was a lack of diversity and there was a lack of representation of hunters from New York City. Cliff developed his brand called Urban Archery NYC to show and introduce people to hunting and archery but also educate and inspire new hunters. We give some specific tips to getting started and how to find the right bow for you. You’ll get the fundamentals and educate yourself so you can become the best bow hunter that you can be. Find out about the different kinds of bows that impact your form which makes a huge difference in your execution. Learn to the draw weight you need for your kill shots.
