A British boy with severe epilepsy has become the first patient in the world to have a device successfully inserted into his brain, to reduce the number and severity of seizures.

Called a neuro-stimulator - the device emits a pulse of current that blocks the otherwise abnormal electrical signals that cause epileptic fits.

Guest: Rory Piper, neurologist from University College in London.
