Netting - wildlife experts are calling for stricter controls on nets installed over trees and hedgerows amid growing public concern about their use. Developers have said the nets, which are designed to stop birds nesting, are "standard practice" during building work. A petition has been launched calling on the Welsh Assembly Government to stop developers from using netting and make it a criminal offence.
